    Default new headlamp

Hey everyone. I've been thinking of changing out the stock headlamp and numberplate for a twin headlight setup off of a Honda ruckus or a Triumph speed/street triple. I was wondering what everyone thought of the idea, if you've ever seen it done, if you think the deezer can handle the electrical draw, and where you think I might be able to source parts (specifically the ruckus setup). Thanks in advance!

All I need is the intended bulb usage/ nomenclature and:
    1. Is there a dual high beam, and if so what is the wattage of each lamp.
    2. What is the wattage of each low beam.........for now.........

They use the duals on the Baja bikes but not sure of the names. I know they're way costly

Mick, is that you're setup? Are those the ruckus lamps? Where did you source them?

So i got the new ruckus setup in the mail yesterday. I am thinking I will run both lamps low and both lamps high, so that all i have to do is create a quick insert harness so I dont have to splice any stock wiring. They are twin H4 headlamps, which from my research appears to be (average) 60w/55w lights. Does it seem like this would be a reasonable draw on the current lighting system? Is there more info needed?

I would think that the stock SM stator will handle an extra 60W, but that's about it. You'll be safer to run an LED brake light, if you don't already. I'll need to look-up the stator specs before I speak with confidence.

The stock stator & flywheel combo will produce 200 watts at 5,000 rpm. You could run a battery condition and charging system output monitors like I do. They will always tell you the current state of the battery or when to begin going into battery saver mode. There also handy for telling you in real time if all three phases of the alternator/stator windings are outputting to the voltage regulator/rectifier. Using a head light drop out switch will also help you run higher loads on stock systems. Plus those lights wont be on every time you turn the freakin key on, and you can turn all head lights off to help recover a weakened battery if you have to.

I bought an Electro Sport stator when mine got kilt...
It's a 215 watt stator. It's what those guys called a high output one.

I was thinking about doing that. My one thought is a 3 way switch, both on, both off, one lamp on. I think that would give me an option to make the bike look "different" depending on how I was feeling LOL!

Plus, that'd be pretty easy to accomplish, with a three-position DPDT switch.
