    Default DR650 supermoto ?

I was at the local dealership the other day, browsing around and saw the DR 650. Anyone converting these to SM?

Not many have done a tarded DR or a tarded Killer
They're great big heavy undersuspended bikes with neither any power or brakes.

A decent running Z will run away from those 650's. Yea they have fun lower rpm torque, but hell so does an M1-A1 Abrams.

It's not the air cooled that's the problem. Yea, they are very capable bikes. Just a bit dated.
    And heavy...
and ...they don't make much power.

Hondas have RFVC (Radial Four Valve Combustion chamber) heads, the DR650 is a standard pentroof 4 valve head. It also makes more power than an XRL or KLR, but they are pretty heavy and low, especially if you do the SM thing. I think they could be hotted up a little, but air cooling has it's limits. And no comparison to my XRR!

My KLR should be mid 80's H.P. when finished. But it has had many thousands of $$ thrown at it and nothing in it or on the engine is stock. The oil pump is externally exh. cam driven, ignition system is all M.S.D. automotive modified at the factory in El Paso Texas for use with the engine. Its also converted to dry sump. The rest is just another novel.
